As members of the American Volkssport Association (www.ava.org), we are a “Volkssporting” or “Popular Sports” club, providing walking, hiking and biking events in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Los Alamos and Bandelier. The Double Eagles are now 27 years old and still moving strong!  We offer two group walks monthly, usually on the first Saturday of the month and the third Sunday.  This link will show you some photos of our club walks and trails:

Here’s the list of our upcoming walks for this quarter.   The walk on March 14th is tentative pending the plan for the National Executive Council meeting in ABQ.  You can find directions to each walk location through our links to the right.

On Sunday, 21 March several of our club members will be walking the Bataan Memorial Death March to honor our brave veterans who were part of that infamous part of WWII.  We will offer conditioning walks every Sunday leading up to that event.  Starting point will be the Los Poblanos Open Spaces parking lot at 9 am beginning on 31 January and every Sunday through 7 March.
